Resources

Additional help is available at the UT Learning Center (UTLC) in Jester A332. It will offer the following programs to all U.T. students taking M408K in this semester. The web site for the UTLC contains the details for these programs:
  • Free drop-in tutoring for M305G. Tutors are available at all times to help you with your questions. This is a great place to go to ask questions about homework problems you have been struggling with. Plan to go after you have worked on problems on your own, and come with questions.

  • The tutors at UTLC can also answer questions related to prerequisite knowledge (precalculus topics), study strategies, and "math anxiety problems". The Drop-In tutoring lab assistants can provide you with many helpful math resources (textbooks, videos, handouts, formula sheets, etc.).

  • Private one-to-one Tutoring is also available at UTLC. The cost is $13.50/hour. In order to sign up for tutoring, you will first need to visit the UTLC front desk (JES A332A) to be registered in the UTLC database. If you are receiving financial aid, you may qualify for 25 hours of free tutoring per semester. Inquire at UTLC to see if you are eligible.

  • Free workshops and classes are also offered by the UTLC.

  • Because good algebra and trigonometric skills are essential for success in M408K, students should test their skills by taking the free Algebra Diagnostic Test and Trigonometric Diagnostic Test for Calculus Students

  • Calculus videos are also available for check out at the UGL Audio Visual Reserves (3rd floor).
UTLC  free courses to get you started this semester (registration is required).
