Can you tell me what might cause the reminder to go out several times? I was thinking, [perhaps when I do modify on the event, I re-enter the mail alias each time since it does not appear in the field, this might be causing it? Is there anywhere I can check that might let me know how many times it is queued up to go out? Or should I assume although it is not in the field, that it is already in there? I think that is caused by a bug. Or do you get reminders at 1-day intervals? That may be because of a recurring event or because of an outstanding task with reminder. >Is there anywhere I can check that might let >me know how many times it is queued up to go out? Or >should I assume although it is not in the field, that it is already >in there? > > The reminder mails (the ones occurring at scheduled times) are sent from webcald. It can be started with a -log option to log everything it does. The messages sent immediately when entering a meeting event are sent from within the webcal application. The is no queueing inside webcal. Of course there may be queueing in your mail system, and there may be mails scheduled in webcal because future events have a mail reminder attached to them, but this is only decided at event time, not when you edit the event. A common mistake is to change things in the variables in the files that were unpacked from the distribution, and then not to re-run the install script to modify the files in the webserver directory. The webserver then still uses the values as they were first set. OK, I figured this one out. approved images have to go in images/uis to be available to everyone. Not sure about private images yet but once I moved the image from the upload directory to the uis directory, everything works. I also uploaded a bunch of other images to my calendar now so I can use them later. -- .''`. Carl B.
