We are running WebCalendar 2.7 patchset 8.5 and our small
startup (40 people) is
extremely pleased with its capabilities and performance. We
still have a couple of
Outlook whiners but we are saving $60K for not having to buy
exchange servers
to support Outlook calendaring.

Q1: Ran "http://intranet/cgi-bin/wcal/wcal.pl?c=version" and
it returned

>>> You are running Web Calendar 2.7, patchlevel 8.5
>>>OS: solaris
>>>/usr/local/bin/perl 5.008003
>>>Real UID: 33, Effective UID 33, Real GID: 33 33,
>>>Effective GID 33 33

At this patch level for 2.7, will the verison command report
whether mod_perl is running on the server?

Q2: From the WebCalendar web page, I was trying to determine
the latest features in 2.8 with respect to
my release. The concept of calendar dependencies are new
and a more formal corporate calendar plus
LDAPsupport. Did I miss anything else?

Thanks, Brent
