 mod_perl is not running. If it were, it should report back
   /path_to_your_httpd 5.008003
 instead of perl.

There are quite a few enhancements. Chances are you
probably don't need any of them. So if your current installation
serves you well, leave it alone. You can of course make
a separate test installation to try out the new features,
and upgrade if you like it.
