Message-ID: <43C21AB0.6080700 a t webmin.de> Hello everyone && 'Happy New Year' to all!! Question: is anyone out there willing 'to share the secrets' with me??? ;-) (for around 8 weeks I'm 'banging my head on desktops/walls/everything' to get it working...) Problem(s): -- had WebCalendar running in a testing environment for a short time ~3yrs ago -- due to miscellaneous time/hardware/personal 'problems' I've shelved these 'problems' since ~3yrs.... :-( -- I have different achievements based on diff. Hard-/Software-Platforms ( a t home==Apache 2.0.x --> NO RUN a t work==Apache 1.3.28 --> NO LOGIN!!) Background: -- I'm trying to achieve (for a 'non-profit-organisation') that they can view their appointments, share resources, etc. -- as there are (many) 'non-tech' users, I've to make it 'as-easy-as-possible' -- ~12 Group-Calendars and ~10 Ressourece-Calendars are needed -- these calendars have to been shown in different 'views' I'm struggling with (some) 'built-in' *pitfalls* -- how do I identify where 'absolute' paths are to be set e.g. in install.pl? -- how do I identify where 'relative' paths are to be set e.g. in install.pl? -- which 'specific' settings/configurations are needed if I use e.g. SuSE 9.x? -- which Apche-Directives are to be modified for my needs? -- are there any 'special-settings' (e.g. rights on directories) needed? -- with 'cookie-based-authenticated' settings I didn't get combined-views working? -- what are the differences between cookie-based/passwd-based authentication (in a technical view)? -- ... ... ... At the moment 'google' doesn't seem to be my friend :-( -- none of the results fit my needs :-( :-( :-( So if anyone could shed the lights (on me), I'm willing to write a 'step-by-step' documentation (if there isn't one out there!) for all others as my contribution to the project! -- TNX && have a nice day Dieter Huerten
