[Maxima] wxmaxima problems

Hi -

I have recently run into a problem with wxMaxima 0.6.4 - when I try 
running it it starts up and then automatically closes.  When I try 
running it from a terminal window I find this message:

wxmaxima: symbol lookup error: 
/usr/lib/libgnomeprint/2.10.2/modules/libgnomeprintcups.so: undefined 
symbol: gnome_cups_printer_get_ppd_async

What exactly am I being told here?  More importantly, what do I need to 
do to fix it?  Thanks.
