[Maxima] problems with running Maxima under VISTA

I use Maxima under Slackware Gnu/Linux. I have also tryed it under
Windows Xp, and I got no problems. I've never used Vista, so I cannot
help you very much if this is a Vista-telated issue :-(
When you say that after a blink of eye it stopped in the command line,
do you mean Maxima exits without printing errors and control is given
back to windows terminal?
