[Maxima] problems with opening *.wxm, saved in windows, under ubuntu

Hi,
I have the following problem with opening the file.
When opening a *.wxm file in wxmaxima under ubuntu 10.0.4 written before 
in wxmaxima 0.8.4 for windows vista (the same version as under ubuntu) 
two error messages appear:

Failed to convert file "/home/marek/abc.wxm" to Unicode.

wxMaxima encountered an error loading /home/marek/abc.wxm
*

Could you write me which way I could such file open?
