Summer Course on Multiscale Modeling
and Analysis
This is a three-week program on multiscale
modeling and analysis for
advanced undergraduate and 1st year graduate students. This program
will contains 5-6 short course, each consisting of 4-6 one-hour
lectures.
The lectures will be
complemented by problem sessions in the afternoons conducted by
senior graduate students from University of Texas.
The prerequisites of the course are
advanced calculus and linear
algebra. Some familarity with numerical analysis and computer
programming will be helpful.
The applicant do NOT need to be a
student of the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) to apply to
this summer course.

Eligibility
1. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanet
resident to receive financial support from NSF RTG program.
2. The funding for Portuguese students
are provided by the CoLab program.
3. Open to currently enrolled juniors
and seniors and first-year
graduate students. You do NOT need to be a student of UT Austin. The
program is NOT only limited to students with
mathematics major. In fact, students with other background are
encouraged to apply.
4. Applicants will be considered without
regard to race, color,

Travel and Accomodation
The grant will provide on-campus accommodations and meal allowances.
Travel assistance may be available by request and
on a case-by-case need. (Only original receipts will be accepted for
reimbursement purposes.)
