Since 2002 I have been at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Texas at Austin, first as an Assistant Professor and since 2006 as an Associate Professor. During the period 1999-2002 I was a Miller Research Fellow of the Miller Institute for Basic Research in Science, hosted by Prof. Nicolai Reshetikhin and Prof. Bernd Sturmfels at the Department of Mathematics of University of California at Berkeley. In the academic year 1998-99 I was a member of the School of Mathematics, Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton. Before this I was a research student of Trinity College in the Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics of University of Cambridge. My supervisor was Prof. N.J.Hitchin, who moved to Oxford. Consequently, I was also a visiting student in St. Catherine's College and in the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford in the last year of my phd-course. I graduated in the Department of Mathematics at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest and went to the special Mathematics class at Fazekas Mihály Primary and Secondary School, Budapest.
